Spring 2013 J.Crew Haul

Wassup springtime. Thank you so much for taking over, I was getting reaaal sick of blizzards on blizzards here in tha northeast. As we all know, spring means two things: 1. The seasonal country club dining room is now open on weekends (wee!) & 2. It's time to go shopping. Which is exactly what I did when I heard that the already-marked-down J.Crew Factory in my area was having a 50% OFF E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G TWO DAY SALE. Shop on, shop on, my kids. You can never have too many pops of color when it comes to tha J.Crizzle. Let's get started.

Dresses. No, excuse me. Summer Dresses. (Note the capital "D" letting you know these garments are that important.) Summer Dresses are a complete necessity when summering in a beach town. Just throw on and go: an instant outfit that is conformable & cute.

Item #1: Button Back Dress in Emerald This simple dress made of sturdy cotton fabric will be my go-to in the spring & summer. It's long enough to wear to work and simple enough to wear out to a fancy dinner. Over a swimsuit or not, this dress is so versatile I had no option but to purchase it. Easily pair-able with floppy hats, cardigans, statement jewelry, etc. Also, Emerald happens to be the "it" color for spring so that was a bonus, plus I can't think of a skin tone it wouldn't look amaze against.

This picture does not do this piece justice. Ugh.
Item #2: Color Block Dress in Navy/Orange Color blocking is back thank gahd. Not only is this dress the perfect transitional piece because of the sleeves, it also comes with it's own built in pop of color. Oh, J.Crew...making life easier since 1983.
Cool-toned colors make it easy to accessorize.
Item #3: Linen Cotton Mini in Azalea Versatility, folks I'm telling you. The showing elastic waist band provides easy slip-on technology. & comfort for all-day wear. Because of the bright color, it's easy to pair with neutral tops, denim accents, and black & white patterns. And omg, pockets. I can't.
The definition of cute. Thank you everyone, thank you.
Items #3 & #4: Studs These two pairs of studs both give a bold look to any seemingly boring ensemble. The orange & yellow ones give a hint of color especially in brunette hair. The faux diamond starburst ones give a simple and elegant touch when dressing up. Love, love.
ILY.
ILY MORE.
Item #5: Plain White V-Neck Let's be honest, this needs no explanation. Because, obviously, duh.
If you do not own a basic white v-neck, please stop reading my blog. Sorry.
That is it for this Spring 2013 Haul...Lookbook coming soon!
